McGill University has been awarded $42 million through the Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI) Innovation Fund to support ten major research infrastructure projects, with additional contributions bringing the total investment to $106 million. Among the funded initiatives, Dr. Darcy Wagner, co-leads a project with Dr. Corinne Hoesli focused on advancing biofabrication technologies for organoid development. The project, conducted in collaboration with partners across Quebec and Canada, aims to strengthen research capacity in regenerative medicine and accelerate the translation of innovative therapies.
Dr. Wagner’s project is part of a broader portfolio of McGill-led initiatives spanning disciplines from computational genomics to neuroinflammation and climate science, reflecting the university’s leadership in multidisciplinary research.
