Research Interests
Using a novel murine of allergic airways disease I am currently studying
- the role of the early neonatal environment on the development of allergic diseases,
- the genotype phenotype relationships in allergy and
- the effects of STAT 6 inhibitory peptides in prevention and treatment of allergic diseases.

Introducing peanuts earlier to reduce allergy risk
Dr. Christine McCusker was part of the research team that discovered introducing peanuts into a child’s diet before the age of three is an effective strategy to reduce the risk of peanut allergy.
Pfizer Research Award of Excellence
Dr. McCusker won the Montreal Children’s Hospital Foundation 2020 Pfizer Research Award of Excellence.
