Dr. Salman Qureshi has been appointed Chair of the Department of Critical Care Medicine at McGill University’s Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, effective October 1, 2024. A highly accomplished physician and researcher, Dr. Qureshi holds multiple specialist certifications and has extensive training from institutions including McGill, Yale, and the Mayo Clinic. He currently serves as Associate Professor of Medicine, Research Director at the Meakins-Christie Labs, and Medical Director of Respiratory Therapy at the MUHC. Recognized for excellence in teaching and research in innate immunity, he has supervised numerous trainees and authored over 60 peer-reviewed publications. As Chair, he will oversee research, education, strategic planning, and faculty development within the Department.
