Dr. Ben Smith discusses how lung diseases are a persistent problem throughout the world. He describes his research and how it is focused on “resilient lungs”. If we look at people who don’t develop disease, we actually notice some interesting patterns. Using advances start of the art imaging, they found there is a lot of variation in the branching and structure of peoples’ lungs.
